  • SPRING CMSSL SCHEDULEThe Spring 2015 CMSSL Schedule for Howard County is now posted. Referees interested and available for these CASH games should send their availability to Craig Proffen immediately. More details can be found under “Spring 2015 CMSSL Assignments”.
  • WANT TO BECOME A REFEREE? – The Next Course(s) will be conducted in the Summer 2015. Details can be found under “Courses”.
  • ARE YOU A REFEREE WHO WANTS TO RECERT FOR 2015? – Attending Monthly Clinics throughout Maryland is NOW the only option. On August 8, 2015 we will start again with One Day Recertification Clinics for 2016. Look here in late May for more details and a link to register.
  • HOWARD COUNTY MONTHLY IN-SERVICEThe Monthly In Service Clinics will continue  in 2015 to the 3rd Thursday Night of each Month. Next Monthly In-Service in Howard County will be held on April 16, 2015. Go to Monthly In-Service for more details.

There will be Three (3) Entry Level Courses this Summer 2015. 

These courses will follow the new format where students will be expected to complete Online Sessions and attend a Classroom & Field Sessions. After completing both the student will take an Online Exam to finish their requirements and get their referee badge. The following course dates:

We will be teaching the Grade 9 Recreational Referee Course formally know as the NCSL & WAGS STAR Certification. This One Day Course is planned for a Day in August 2015 from 8:30am to 5:30pm and requires the completion of an Online Session first.


August 2015 (08:30am to 5:30pm) Recreational Referee Course aka STAR Course.

All USSF Referees must earn a minimum of five (5) hours of In-Service Training annually to renew their license with USSF. This can be accomplished by attending several of the Monthly Clinics. In Howard County these monthly clinics are held on the 3rd Thursday night of the month.
